| Home is also known as home cinema., simply because you can have it at the comfort of your home. But generally speaking, a home theater is a combination of electronic components redefined to experience watching a movie in a theater. Since watching movies is one of the cheapest form of entertainment, everybody can afford to spend time in the movie houses. It maybe a family affair, friends gathering, an intimate date or you can watch it alone. In fact, the latest top grosser movie of all time – AVATAR had a total gross sales of more than $2 billion. Just imagine the influx of moviegoers lining up just to watch this epic movie. This just proves that everyone needs to be entertained, after a hard day work! But who wants to have fun without leaving home but still can benefit almost similar to that of movie houses? Home theater is the answer to that.
So how did Home Theater appear into the picture? Home theater was created by Theo Kalomikrakis from Athens, Greece. He came up with this idea because of his love for movies. By introducing this to us, he upgraded it and brought more fun into it. Even Hollywood stars like Eddie Murphy, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s were fascinated by his work and asked him to install in their own rooms a home theater. Even World Disney had asked him to do the same. Though movie making was not his profession as his first film thesis failed, he switched into publishing and became art director of a magazine. So as a movie fanatic, he continued dreaming of owning his first TV projection, a nova-beam. But what he did first first was he bought a 50-inch rear-pro set, but not satisfied of the result after connecting his VCR. So a store introduced to him the laser-discs, an LD player. Hi first disc, Raiders of the Lost Ark. But he realized that a big TV is not a theater at all, the sound is not as clear as a theater has. So he put Klipsch’s horn speakers with huge woofers, also attached was a surround sound processors and connected it to rear speakers. Wow! An instant theater in his living room, then he started inviting people over to watch movies. More and more people are turning their ordinary TV rooms into a Home theater. Though there are some technicalities to be considered, there are experts of this that could be of great help to materialize your dream home theater. So if you are enough with just simply watching TV, maybe this time you are eager to improve your home TV experience. Today, it’s considered obsolete thing if you still have your 20-inch TV for your family. This time around the more sophisticated your gadgets for home viewing, the more pleasant to your eyes and ears; as home theater has vivid picture and audible sound. Though it is only composed of a very basic components like video, receiver, speaker and source, still it’s the most stylish and complicated gadget in town.
